5 Romantic K-dramas to Watch When You’re Bored

So, with some free time in our hands, we tend to get bored easily. Here are five Romantic K-dramas with great love story to binge-watch (or maybe even re-watch) to kill boredom.

Angel’s Last Mission: Love (2019)

  • Main Cast : Shin Hye-sun / Kim Myung-soo / Lee Dong-gun / Kim Bo-mi / Do Ji-won / Kim In-kwon
  • Genre : Romance / Fantasy
  • No. of episodes : 16

“Angel’s Last Mission: Love” is the love story between an angel and a ballerina. INFINITE’s L stars as the accident-prone and optimistic angel Dan, and Shin Hye Sun takes on the role of Lee Yeon Seo, a privileged heiress who loses her eyesight in an accident and has to give up her dream of becoming a dancer.

While it certainly has its flaws and is nowhere near perfect, the acting, unique plot, beautiful cinematography, and amazing music are more than enough reasons to watch it. You will not regret investing your time and heart into this show.

Oh My Venus (2015)

  • Main Cast : So Ji-sub / Shin Min-a / Jung Gyu-woon / Yoo In-young
  • Genre: Romance / Drama / Comedy / Fitness
  • No. of episodes : 16

“Oh My Venus” tells the story of a female lawyer who works hard to regain her attractive figure. She meets her polar opposite in a famous health trainer. The individuals experience healing their past hurts as they go through the weight loss process. The drama claims to be a romantic comedy that features falling in love with who a person is on the inside rather than their exterior appearance.

It was a pleasure to watch a drama with such a healthy (both mentally and physically) romantic relationship in it. This is a perfect drama to make you laugh and it will give you some good vibes about yourself.

The Tale of Nokdu (2019)

  • Main Cast : Jang Dong-yoon / Kim So-hyun / Kang Tae-oh / Jung Joon-ho as King
  • Genre : Historical / Romantic comedy
  • No. of episodes : 16

“The Tale of Nokdu” tells the story of a man named Jeon Nok Du (played by Jang Dong Yoon), who disguises himself as a woman to enter a mysterious all-female community with hopes to discover the truth. There, he meets Dong Dong Joo (played by Kim So Hyun), a gisaeng-in-training who wants to be anything but a gisaeng (female courtesan), and they become roommates.

This is one of the historical drama series that will not get you bored as they will bring lots of laughter and kilig moments.

Love in the Moonlight (2016)

  • Main Cast : Park Bo-gum / Kim Yoo-jung / Jinyoung / Chae Soo-bin / Kwak Dong-yeon
  • Genre : Historical / Coming-of-age / Romantic-comedy
  • No. of episodes : 18

“Moonlight Drawn By Clouds” is a youth palace romance drama centered on the crown prince (Park Bo Gum) and a girl pretending to be a eunuch (Kim Yoo Jung).

This is a great addition to the pantheon of guy-falls-for-girl-pretending-to-be-a-guy dramas. If you love a dreamy romance with all the feels amidst breathtaking scenes give it a try.

Descendants of the Sun (2016)

  • Main Cast : Song Joong-ki / Song Hye Kyo / Jin Goo / Kim Ji-won
  • Genre : Romance / Melodrama / Action
  • No. of episodes : 16

“Descendants of the Sun” is a story of a young soldier and doctor pursuing love and dreams as strangers in a distant land. It’s a melodrama portraying the very essence of life. Song Joong Ki portrays Yoo Shi Jin, captain of the elite special forces. Song Hye Kyo portrays an attractive doctor Kang Mo Yeon.

The lead couple has a really strong chemistry and many cute moments. Although they have opposite personality, they actually managed to let the relationship flows. If you’re a fan of romance, especially cheesy romance, this is the perfect drama for you. If you like to see Song Joong Ki be the cheesy lover, you will fall for him immediately.
