K-drama Feels:
  • Simple romance story without any love triangle/square.
  • The main lead couple were very boring and uninteresting couple with zero chemistry.
  • The second lead couple, Ji Yi and Chang Soo were honestly the best part of the show. They had an amazing chemistry and their scenes together were always adorably cute.
  • Park Hyung Sik’s hair, handsome face and acting skills are the main reason why I enjoyed watching the series. Chang Soo was funny, realistic, hot and very charismatic.
  • I personally loved the OST : You’re My Love by Park Hyung Sik and Don’t Do That by Acoustic Collabo.
  • Overall, High Society is an enjoyable drama that you will not regret watching, but you will soon forget it.

My Rating – 8.0/10 (This drama was worth the watch because of Park Hyungsik. I really enjoyed watching him. He’s so adorable and charismatic as always.)

I came to this drama because of Park Hyungsik and got out of it an even more avid fan of his acting and curious of the actress who played Lee Ji Yi. She honestly has great acting chops and matched very well with PHS. I love her character – she was the one who was most In tuned to her feelings, very open about them on how conflicted she was knowing that things were not bound to end well with CS. Chang Soo’s best scene was when he was beating his chest, “dying” of lovesickness for LJY but not wanting to let go of his status, in front of his mom. That is the beauty of PHS’ acting prowess!! I hope to find a video that only has their love story in it as this drama is the clearest example of how the 2nd leads overshadowed the first leads, I don’t think anyone can even contest it.

I agree with your comment. I cried with that “dying of lovesickness” scenes, and I fell in love more with PHS.
